Burma // Part 1: The Land of Buddha

burmaancient

In my last post, I spoke a little about my family’s journey to Singapore. We converged there before continuing on to Burma (Myanmar).

The focus of this post is my photography that depicts the ancient history that still shines in Burma. Just like in India, temples and holy sites have been in continuous use for over a thousand years.

I’ll begin with a sunrise time-lapse that I took in Bagan. Unfortunately, I set my focus incorrectly. Even though the video is blurry, it still manages to capture the unbelievably beauty we saw there.

Most of you have already seen this photo below, one of my proudest achievements. It is a composite of a few photos that I quickly took after shooting the sunrise at the beginning of the post. Click through and explore the full size image. At nearly 27 megapixels, it contains a surprising level of detail.
